Therapy for Anxiety, Chronic Stress and Burnout

Are you struggling with anxiety, overwhelm or feeling out of control? Are there areas of your life where you are putting in so much effort: parenting, work, relationships; but really you wish to feel ease? If you are struggling to feel like you can live from a place of authenticity and rest rather than performance or striving, you have come to the right place. I am an anxiety therapist located in McKinney, TX; and I specialize in emotional regulation, and stress management that brings comfort, clarity and a greater connection to yourself.

My primary modality is an approach called AEDP which uses relational attunement to create safety and increase your ability to process difficult emotions that may be keeping you stuck. Similar to IFS or EMDR, AEDP is an experiential model that works with trauma in the here and now. It’s more than just talking about how things are going. It is a slow and gentle tuning into yourself that helps you to grow an inner attention to your needs, enhance emotional awareness and increase ability to process trauma. This approach is research-based, and increases neuroplasticity, self-esteem and positive functioning.

Finding More Calm, Self-Trust, and Emotional Flexibility

Many my my clients seeking therapy for anxiety or burnout want more than simply feeling less anxious. They want to be able to enjoy their lives again.

You may want to:

  • Feel less overwhelmed by the demands of daily life

  • Quiet a constantly busy or racing mind

  • Feel more present with your family, work, and relationships

  • Experience greater calm and ease

  • Develop more self-trust

  • Practice self-compassion instead of constant self-criticism

  • Reconnect with feelings of joy, excitement, or curiosity

  • Become more flexible in how you respond to stress

  • Feel less like you are always “on”

  • Make space for yourself without feeling guilty

Therapy isn't about becoming a different person or giving up the qualities that have helped you succeed. Instead, our work can help you develop a wider range of ways to respond to life's challenges.
